This wallpaper deserves to be highlighted because of many reasons:
The fence looks so real and detailled that you can almost touch it. In many cases, wallers copy and paste similiar objects of the background (e.g. flowers). But this fence looks like it has been drawn stroke by stroke.
The colours and combination of highlights and shadows create a dark and mysterious atmosphere which suits the manga perfectly. I'm glad dolce-yasmin didn't stick to the original colours which wouldn't be as effective as the brown tone.
Not to forget the vector itself which is not only a huge improvement of the original scan, but also shows you dolce-yasmin's improvement of her vectoring skills!

thanks so much for the comment and fave on my recent D.Gray-man wall, it's a simplistic design but I tried to enhance that with the use of a more vibrant color palette, I'm glad it worked, thanks again and take care~
Yes, I really loved it! You have captured that moment so perfectly, it brought me to tears! I really look forward to more of your wallpapers btw! You inspire me to do better in my wallpapers and I hope that one day I will be as good as you, only in my own style. Thank you for coming to my User Page, most people don't usually do that, it really made me happy. I hope to see more of your work and have a good day! Suki-chan
thanks for the comment on my wallpaper gallery, you're off to a great start yourself, can't wait to see more of your work, i'll start watching you too :) take care~
yeah, the warp text thing can be tricky to nail down perfectly. it requires some eyeballing to get the fit looking nice. i have ps 7.0, so i guess the warp text function doesn't get any better in cs3?
it's always nice to see a person who appreciate criticism. =]
text can be made to curve in photoshop with the "warp text" function, which is part of the text tool. it appears in the options bar, a "t" with a curved arrow, from what i can remember. with your text layer selected, click on the warp text button and a small window will pop up. you can choose the type of warp in the drop down list. in your case, you should choose "arc" or single arc...or whatever it's actually called. once you do that, you can adjust the amount of curvature to fit the rim of the clock.
and of course i don't mind you adding me. i'll add you back. :D
